Blogging is going to be a struggle for me. I don't enjoy writing at all. I still don't know what made me choose a major that requires me to write a ridiculous amount of papers. So instead of writing, I'll follow my twin Megan Scott (Check her out: http://meganscott.theworldrace.org she's pretty cool) and make a list. This is a list of things that I would like to happen on the Race. They are in no particular order.
- I want to see the world. (cliche, I know.)
- I want to reveal the Gospel to people who have never heard it.
- I want the Gospel revealed to me in a way I have never seen it before.
- I want to build my endurance.
- I want to learn about different cultures.
- I want to totally amerce myself into 11 different communities.
- I want to fall to my knees and pray harder than I have ever done before.
- I want my faith to be tested daily.
- I want to get over my worldly habits.
- I want to totally put my trust in God with no apprehensions.
- I want to eat whatever is put in front of me.
- I want to be able to understand that I can't plan everything out.
- I want to give all my travel clothes away at some point.
- I want to wash someone's feet.
- I want to find out what God has planned for me as a career.
- I want to climb to the top of a mountain.
- I want to not make my own assumptions of people before I meet them.
- I want to really know the people I meet along the way.
- I want to honestly care about the well being of these people.
- I want to tell a child that help is coming and to just hold on.
- I want to share the Gospel with a slave owner.
- I want to hold a little girl and tell her that she is beautiful and that she is worth more than what she's forced to do.
- I want my heart, mind and body to go through a total spiritual change.
So these are things that I want to happen over the Race. Will they happen? Only God knows, but I'm alright with that. This list is just what I'd like to happen.
