Our first stop was to Old San Juan, so that we could learn some history of the island.

Next, we met with Gloria in Cabo Rojo. She's 80 years old, but you would never be able to tell. We've worked with her for a while now. She was such a reminder of perserverance through all struggles.

This is Jon Marshall. He is our contact in Juana Diaz. I love this guy. He has such a passion for the youth of Puerto Rico. He runs a retreat center called Campamento del Caribe that hosts kids from all over the island. It's a way for the kids to learn more about Christ through leadership activities, sport games and even a water slide!

Campamento del Caribe

Jon took us to a waterfall and cliff jump before we headed to our next location.

Before we said adios to Jon, we had an awesome Puerto Rican meal at his favorite restaurant.
The last contacts we visted were Rob and Holly Dressel in Arecibo. (No Picture Provided)

We got to interview Pastor Peter, the pastor of the church were our teams stayed all last summer. He loves his community and wants to really see change in the area.

We also interviewed Jeramy. He translated for our teams last year while they put on events in the surrounding parks for kids.

Puerto Rico is beautiful.
We spent our last night exploring San Juan.

We even got to experience a Flameco show.

Puerto Rico is an absolutely place to experiecne. The people are friendly and passionate about their culture. Even though it is apart of the U.S., it's like being in a totally different country. If you ever get a chance, GO!
