Last week we said “see ya later” to Sarah and Lucas, our squad leaders. Their job was to lead us for the first 4 months and then raise up new leaders to take us the rest of the way. Our goodbye included us sharing a bit from each of our teams to show them our appreciation.

But for me, it wasn't so much the saying goodbye that was the focus of the night, but more the content of it all. One of the teams shared some blogs from when Sarah and Lucas had been on there 4th month of their race routes. It was neat to see how they struggled and have worked through trusting God. Also just to see where they are even today,. not knowing what the next steps will be for them.

But I also was impressed to see how the Y-squad really thanked them for helping grow and change in just the last 4 months. And it was not easy. Many shared about how either Sarah or Lucas would push them to the next step. They did not take it easy on them but would ask the hard questions. Wow!  What a great thing to be able to do. I realized that I am weak in that area. I want to be strong and able to push people on to greatness. But how do you do that? I am not sure and feel I need to ask the Lord to change and move me in new ways in this. Pray with me for growth, change, and a willingness to stand when I need to stand. To be bold, when I need to be bold. To be the Man of God and the leader He has called me to be.

Peace out until next blog,
tOm
