Merry belated Christmas and Happy early New Year!
Well, currently I am in Kanchanaburi, Thailand with all the men from my squad (y-squad). There are 13 of us who are helping with the goat farm and other similar type chores with the YWAM here. We have enjoyed the following list of things while here for till mid- January:
• getting to help out at a local school with preparing for a VIP visit,
• having a Christmas party at the local church (us men sang a Christmas medley),
• played soccer at the local school,
• swimming at the lake nearby (I have been encouraged to go to the middle),
• seeing crazy creatures here (held a giant spider, saw the biggest centipede ever),
• helped with many dishes (13 guys eat a lot of food),
• and I get to sleep under the stars every night as well as I got to ride an elehant today!
It was fun and different to be somewhere else for Christmas this year. I do miss home and my family, but I hope to return with some neat things to add to my traditions back in the States.
Ok peace out, as I only get internet access once a week because we are living in the middle of nowhere and I am loving it!
