The reality for the July 2012 squads is that the World Race has begun. We are close enough to our nation’s capital to smell it. We are close enough to the fourth of July to taste it. Yet, the Race did not begin with fireworks, but we welcomed it in with a word and a song.
A few days ago, I was reading about John the Baptist. He was the one over whom it was prophesied that he would walk in the spirit and power of Elijah. He would prepare the way of the Lord. Yet after his ministry was complete, his followers reflected on him saying, “John did not do any miracles, but everything He said about the Christ has come true.”
In my heart, the Race has come quietly. I don’t have any fuzzy feelings, I’m not even much inspired to write at the moment, all I have to say is that this journey has simply begun; not with fireworks, but with a word of encouragement and a song of praise.
The World Race: Encouraging ordinary men and women to walk in the spirit and power of Jesus and go into the nations. Your kingdom come.
