This poem was inspired by my squad and it’s leaders, H squad.  By my new team, Awaken Depth.  By last night’s worship time in Bucharest, Romania.  By my Lord, the love of my life.  May it help awaken the things that are buried deep inside of you that need to come out…

Awake O my body

                And
arise from the depths

Of the dreams you have dreamed

                From
the sleep you have slept

Walk out of the land

                That you
have circled for years

That requires no faith

Where you shrink back from fears

Step into the destiny

                That I
have written for you

Where faith becomes sight,

                And your
dreams become true

For you are my dancer

                Who awakens the joys

That have slept in the hearts

                Of
young girls and boys

And you are my singer

                Who will
cause to arise,

The sweet hopeful songs

                Of the
tired and tried

Yes, you are my fighter

                Who
fights for the case

Of those who are burdened

                By
death’s dark disgrace

You’re the teller of stories

                Who
brings to the light,

The dreams of the hidden

                And the
secrets of night.

You are my laughter,

                Who
eases the pressures

That are carried for years

                By my
faithful old shepherds

And you are my crier,

                Who
weeps with the broken

In the homes of the lonely

                In the
streets of the taken

You are my worker

                Who
carries and crafts

The dreams of the millions

                Into a
Kingdom that lasts

And you are my speaker

                Who will
declare the truth

You will make known my Name

                To the
aged and the youth

You’re my world traveler

                Who
spreads seeds to the winds

Of all tongues, tribes and nations

                To the
earth’s furthest ends

And when you are tired

                When your
light has burned out

When you’ve fought the good fight

                And
your perfume is poured out

I will appear in the heavens

                While
the clarion call sounds

Saying, “You are my beloved,

                My
dream has been found.”
