Right now I’m in Bali, Indonesia. I am currently driving to a Hindu village on the biggest volcano/mountain in Bali. Just a moment ago I looked to my left and saw hundreds, maybe even thousands, of statues of Hindu gods, Buddha and spiritual houses. Behind all of those statues you can see men crafting them. They were beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but I was filled with sorrow. These man made statues were designed and crafted by men. Made for the sole purpose to worship and to make offerings to. Like I said I was sorrowful, to the point of feeling ill, because, well, they are praising and offering to nothing. Even worse, they are worshipping the enemy. If it is not God they worship, it is the enemy. I see and know that these are lost souls. If nothing is done, they have no hope, no life and only darkness.
Then, still driving, I gaze through the right window instead of the left and I see the ocean. I see the waves crashing on the shore. I see nothing hindering the waves, nothing stops those e ftwaves! And I am reminded that our God is a good God. He is the only God and He isn’t something that is crafted by man. He isn’t something that worshipped with no response, but He responds. Those waves continually crashing on the shore reminds me of His relentless love, a love that keeps coming. A continuous, unstoppable force. I am reminded of the grace and mercy that flows forth from His side, His hands and feet, His brow and the stripes on His back, forever flowing with mercy and grace. Those are the very stripes that have healed us and brought us life. Back to this nation, the only hope that they have is that someone preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them, all other roads lead to death. That is the only way that these souls can be saved. God gave us the opportunity to spread this Good News. Without hearing the Gospel, wether that be through someone picking up a Bible, hearing a street preacher, or any other form of evangelism there is no life offered to these people. That is why I am here. God has sent me and my team to Indonesia, to Bali and to this tiny village for this purpose. Please be in prayer with me for these souls here in Indonesia. I believe God is going to be doing a mighty work here. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
