Hey fam!

You might be wondering, “Todd, I feel like you haven’t been posting a lot recently.” Or, “Todd, I miss you and wish to have an update from the field.” So, I would love to share with you all cool new things in life.

First of all, I would like to apologize for my absence in social media recently. After leaving Africa we have had good wifi and I was posting, if not by blog, on Facebook or Instagram frequently. In Indonesia we had a struggle trying to find good wifi and that led to me not paying attention so much to social media. So, yes, sorry for the lack of updates.

Update #1: A couple of weeks ago we had team changes. This happens every year with all squads because we have people called Alumni Squad Leaders. These are people who have been on the race before and help lead and guide, spiritually and logistically, the squad in their endeavors. After month 5ish they get to go home and see their families! This means they do something called raising up Squad Leaders. They, through lots of prayer and discernment, choose people from that squad to basically take on their roles. We have 4 ASQLs and so that means we will have 4 raise up Squad Leaders. Since this happens, they look at the squad of 40 something people and make all new teams with new team leaders and whatnot. So, yes, I am no longer a part of Firebrand. I do have exciting news in this. I have an awesome team of 4 rad people, they are; Tim, Hannah, Dacey and myself. Together we are eleMENTAL. Just for fun, each of us represents one of the 4 classic elements. Tim is wind, Hannah is water, Dacey is fire and I am earth. We decided to capitalize MENTAL because we’re a little crazy. Together we make up the Raised up Squad Leaders!!! We are all really excited about our new roles and are looking forward to serve our squad in cool new ways.

Update #2: Indonesia was a really challenging but good month. Our ministry was called ATL, which means Ask The Lord. It means that we didn’t have a set ministry, but we ask God for guidance in what we do. We ask Him to lead to where he wants to take is. It’s a ministry that relies on building relationships. We, also, are one of the first few squads to go to Indonesia and so my team really wanted to find a new ministry host for future world racers. We ended up finding an awesome contact on the island of Bali. It is this church/family that has a bunch of kids living their. They don’t like to call them orphans, so they call it Grace Family, where their family is each other. It is an amazing place and they are filled with awesome ministries, from village ministry to construction ministry, from street/beach evangelism to prison ministry. It was a crazy busy few weeks, but God showed up in some cool ways.

Update #3: I am currently about $1400 off my final deadline. The final deadline has technically passed, but they are having lots of grace with our squad in this. I would ask that you pray and consider possibly donating. You can do so at the top of this screen or my home page by clicking the “Donate!” link.

Update #4: My next blog I will share with you a hard experience that God had put me through to show me his grace and to learn how to really lean on him… keep your eyes peeled!

Special Thanks: I mention that I’m $1400 short of my $17417 goal. Which means that I have received $16000 so far! That’s crazy!!! I wanted to take time to just thank you all who have supported me thus far. I want you all know how truly thankful I am for everything I have received. It really shows that you guys want me to be out here sharing the Gospel with those who have never, possibly, heard it before. You guys deserve so much more than this little segment of my blog. I’m sorry if I haven’t done a great job in saying thank you. I want each and everyone of you to know that I am eternally grateful for all of the love, prayer and support that I have received from you all. I’m now just about halfway through and when I get home in November, I would love to see each one of you personally and share all of my experiences with you. If it was $1000 or $1 or even just a few prayers, there are not enough words to say how thankful I am for all of you. May God bless you all.

I always love to hear from people at home. If you want to talk to me don’t be afraid to message me on facebook/Instagram or email me. My email to reach me is [email protected] its always an encouragement to know that I’m not forgotten, not that I have felt that at all.

Once again thanks so much for taking time to read my blog. I hope to update you all very soon.

May the peace, grace and mercy of our Father be with you all.
