“We are the church, and we are the hope!”
Beautiful words sung by Rend Collective Experiment in their song titled, “Build Your Kingdom Here.”
That is so true.
We are the church. So we are the hope for others, because the Holy Spirit lives in each one of us to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
This is just as much a challenge for you as it is for me, and probably for all followers of Jesus. But I challenge us as the church to follow the Holy Spirit.
To be obedient to His voice and to His will, because you never know when you are someone’s answered prayer.
If the Holy Spirit puts it on you to pray for someone or to do something for someone, but you’re too afraid or embarrassed…
Just remember…
You might be someone’s answered prayer.
You might be an answer to a mom who has been praying for years and years that her son would come to know Jesus, and now the Lord has asked you to talk to that son about the Lord.
You might be someone’s answered prayer.
You might be an answer to a couple searching for God’s will for their life, but they are unsure where to go to start ministry, and the Lord has specifically given you a word to share with them about such a move.
You might be someone’s answered prayer.
You might be an answer to a pastor who has been praying for years that someone would come restore their church, and suddenly you feel you should travel to a foreign country to do just that.
You might be an answered prayer.
Keep in mind that if you don’t answer the Lord, then God will send someone else. Don’t miss out on what He is calling YOU to do.
Be open and obedient to the voice of the Lord no matter how fearful or how strange. You never know, you just might be an answered prayer.
“We are the church, and we are the hope.”
Until the next adventure,
Teej
P.S. These are actual examples that I’ve encountered while being on the World Race.
