I left on July 3rd from Orlando, Florida to head to Atlanta, Georgia for final training and launch.
The time in Atlanta was wonderful time of hot showers, birthday celebrations, 4th of July fireworks and final American meals. On the July 7th at 10:30pm we flew from Atlanta to Amsterdam. We had an 8 hour wonderful layover in Amsterdam. Where we took the train into town and walked around site seeing, I got some fresh Italian gelato from this sweet little Italian store and got a waffle with some kind of yummy chocolate topping. Then we jumped on our flight from Amsterdam to Bucharest, Romania.  After arriving in Romania we jumped on some small buses and rode three hours to the mission house we are at now.

We have now been in Romania for 11 days to this point, and this month the entire squad is living together (all 53 of us).  We are working with Raul this month with his ministry at Hope church. There are a lot of different ministry opportunities, from working at Kids Clubs all around Old County, to intercessory prayer time, and even some video editing (my job for the month).

A few people (will stay unnamed, lol) were sick starting the trip and that bug has made its way through the squad. It transformed from a head cold, to a stomach bug. (I’m thankful that I only had the head cold version, but I was out for 3 days last week)

This week I finally got back out to the mission field, traveling around to several of the different mission  areas to video. What’s really cool about needing to get video of all the ministries is that I have the opportunity to do work in each of the different fields. I’ve got to evangelize door to door, work with the youth ministries, help out with welcoming people to the church for the eye glass ministry. It has been an amazing time in Romania.

But  on Wednesday the 17th of July we went out to play soccer (football) with some of the locals. I was soo excited about this, I love soccer. We had a great time playing it was lots of fun. After several games of soccer, a group decided to teach some of the Romanians American football.  So, a few of us moved over to a concrete basketball court to continue playing soccer. This is not concrete like in the states (all smooth and flat), this is rock filled concrete, with gravel on top. We were all having such a fun time playing soccer and my team was up by 1 point and then it happened. (I’m not sure how it was quick) my left ankle rolled, probably on a rock and I went down on my right knee.

It was just like in the pro sport games where you see the player go down and they right away grab their ankle.  My ankle was in pain, so much pain that I didn’t even notice the enormous gash on my right knee from landing on a rock when I fell.

I was a mess…

I didn’t just injure one leg, I hurt both legs and couldn’t walk. But as always my God provides for his children and earlier that day, I’m not sure where from, but a walker showed up at our mission house.  Little did I or any of us know, that it was actually for me.

I’m so thankful for the fathers love and that he  knows all our steps and is always one step ahead of us.

Philippians 4:19. And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Thank you for all your continued prayers as I heal. Pray super natural healing for me.

I'm blessed because I'm still able to do the ministry I was called to this week. Editing video, which I will post at the end of the month.

Only 9 more days here in Romania before we head to our next country…. Which has been changed to (drum roll) ready for it, we are now going to Moldova
