I have only been in Ireland for 6 days and my life will never be the same.
As a Christian we are always talking about having our identity in Christ and not in the things of the world.
What does that mean?
What does that look like?
Well, after having focused on this for several years, I thought I fully understood what is meant to have my identity in Christ. On our second day here in Ireland, God blew my mind to what it truly meant to have my identity in Him.
We met with Mark Marks for training on Healing in the Streets ministry. He opened my eyes to what I have been missing.
My prayer life was full, I loved to pray to Jesus for people to be healed but my prayers were full of petitioning prayers to Jesus to move the mountains.
“ “God please move this mountain” (It’s like asking the Boss to do a job he’s asked you to do, since he’s already delegated his authority to you, to move the mountain!)
Jesus and his disciples NEVER used petitioning prayer for healing.
They brought heaven to earth they prayed “Mountain be moved!”
Matthew 17:20 I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, You can say to this mountain move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
I have heard that scripture so many times. YOU can’t really move mountains!? Or can you?
Mark then continued to show us this authority that we really do have as believers and we watched as He prayed in authority, healing over several of our squad members.
I watch my squad members leg grow an inch in front of my eyes, his legs were no longer different lengths.
I mean, REALLY it did grow right in front of my eyes.
I have never seen that kind of healing before.
I have heard of it, I have read of it in the bible, But I have never experienced healing where I could visually see the healing happening in front of my eyes.
This authority I have always had was not being put to use. Later in the evening a few of my squad mates and I decided to take our authority seriously and pray healing over each other. We prayed over several people and again we watched as God healed and cleared up acne, as feet were reshaped to be the same size.
It’s amazing what we can do, when we truly understand the authority that we have through the Holy Spirit. It's amazing what I can do when I truly understand the authority that I have. I feel a true since of freedom in the authority that I have been given.
