Ok so here is my first attempt at a blog entry. (Without pictures, I’m sure more entry’s in the future will probably be picture heavy)
So, I’m about 6 months away from leaving the comfort of my family, friends and what I know as my home.
I don’t know if I really understand all of what I’m getting myself into, I just know that I need to do it. I know that God has called me to go out into the world and be his hands and feet, whether I feel prepared or not, I’m going. He has called me to go on this journey with Him, to become more dependent in Him. And for I’m sure so many other reasons but as of right now dependence has been the lesson.
So what have I been thinking about lately?
-Support raising, Support raising, and Support raising. (Did I mention support raising, if you haven’t heard me talk about it, that would be weird b/c I bring it up in almost every conversation.) I’m soo thankful for all my supporters that have listening to Gods call for them to help send me on this mission. (I’m at a total of 30% support raised and still need 70%) Please keep this in your prayers!<3
-Christmas time and being intentional about how and with who my time is spent this year because next year I will be somewhere in Africa for Christmas!(crazy)
-shots, how many do I have to get for this trip? (pray for my poor arms on the 2nd of January, they will be a pin cushion that day)
-Lately I have been grieving the fact that I won’t be around my beautiful church family that I have had the opportunity to be a part of for the past 5 years. I love my Church family and I’m going to miss them greatly. Just like any family, we have had our ups and downs but in the end we have held together, because at the center of our dysfunction is Jesus, and I’m so thankful for that! I’m going to miss the love, hugs, smiles, hope and beauty that exude from Georgianna. I’m going to miss all my jr and sr. high youth kids, that have been such a blessing in my life! I’m going to miss my soul sisters group who have been and encouragement and blessing to study, and grown closer to the love and truth of God.
-I’m so thankful for all the prayer warriors that have being praying for me during this time of support raising and I’m thankful that I know that my Georgianna family, as well as many others will continue to pray for me while I’m somewhere in the world.
That’s all I have for now but I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
