Malawi was one of the best months so far. We worked planting churches in rural villages with Harvesters International. We worked with three different pastors (one per week). We loved Harvesters' model for church planting. Every week we traveled to a new village to teach the gospel and plant a church. Early in the week, we would speak with village elders/chiefs to gain permission to teach the villagers about Jesus. Upon getting permission, we would travel hut to hut throughout the week telling people the Good News. Also, as we traveled through the village we would invite the people we met to attend a church service on Sunday. On Sunday, we would hold a church service and work to establish a core group of villagers to continue meeting to study the Bible and assemble on Sundays. Harvesters International sends a Pastor into the villages as we leave to establish roots and lead the new assembly.
We were amazed by the way God moved throughout the month. We saw multitudes come to the Lord and were successful in planting two churches that we are confident will continue to grow.
