In our country today we are facing many great difficulties
and challenges. My generation is lost and entering an American culture that is
different from that of previous generations. Our society is fast paced, almost
to the point of dizziness. Our professional world is cutting edge and cut
throat, and our values have changed. Our children are growing up in a society
that teaches them to look out for themselves first, put their own career and
dreams in the forefront of their priorities, and that anything they believe is
fine and true because they believe it. I don’t want to watch them miss what God
has provided for them.
We are seeing the cost of this societal trend and it is something we are all
concerned with. I am setting out to play my part in doing something about it. Societies
are made up of people and my heart is for people who are being given food that
does not nourish and water that does not bring life. We are chasing shadows and
smoke.
comes through relationship with the God of the universe, to lead them to the
true well springing up to eternal life. Then they will have living water to
drink and take to others. I have been around the globe and can testify that thefields are white, the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Even here
in the United States,
my home, people are perishing without the everlasting life that is so readily
available. What is heartbreaking is that the church in America is
failing to reach my generation. The statistics tell us that the majority of
those growing up in American evangelical households are leaving the faith.
world as a nation, but here is much of the reason for our troubles. Being the
wealth and power of influence that we are, we have the most potential of anyone
on the current world scene to effect and help our fellow man in nations that are
struggling and entrapped by the “ruler of this world’s” schemes to devour and
destroy them. We have the resources to send help to people perishing in
darkness and despair. Yet my generation is turned in upon itself, using its
resources only to seek its own comfort and happiness. Sending physical aid is
part of the picture, but it is not the most important part. If we bring a meal
for a day, and leave, hunger will remain. Only those walking in the fullness
spoken of in Scripture can take this fullness to the needy and lost of the
world, whether at home or across the world. That is what we are seeking, how to
walk in the fullness of the blessing and Spirit of Christ, and how to spread it
to others. By giving all that we have and are, we are learning to do this.

A missionary named Jim Elliot sacrificed his life in South
America bringing the gospel to tribal cannibals who lived in
darkness, violence, and fear, and who had no chance of knowing everlasting life
in Jesus Christ unless someone came to tell them. Before his death he made a
statement that has become my life’s motto and what I believe we must embrace in
order to once again have a powerful influence on the young. He said “He is no
fool who gives up that which he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.”
at His word and lose our lives to save them. A teacher I had said it this way, “Salvation
in Jesus is free but to follow Christ will cost you everything.” This is the
vision of the World Race missionaries and here is the part that the Lord has called
me to play. Through taking young people throughout the world to meet the needs
of the poor, the outcast, the abused, the lost, we introduce discipleship,
turning away from ourselves, and embracing the brokenness and self-abandonment
that Christ spoke of for
those who would follow Him. I am going on full timestaff with AIM (Adventures in Missions) specifically in the World Race department.
I will be working out of the headquarters in Gainesville, GA,
coordinating logistics, i.e. setting up ministry contacts abroad, setting up
flights for teams and places to stay, etc. I will continue supporting teams in
the field, traveling with them at times, continuing the discipleship process in
my own life, and helping others who are seeking life in abundance to move into
that process themselves as they spread the Word of Christ to the world around
them by visiting the orphans, feeding the refugees and witnessing to the people
enslaved in prostitution. At the same time I will be continuing and finishing
my degree in Bible and Theology from Global
University. I will be able
to study along side of working for AIM.
first and foremost I need your prayer support. I am planning to move
to Gainesville and begin working on March 7. In order to do this I
will also need the support of fellow workers to be empowered to do
what God has charged me with. I humbly and boldly ask you to go to
the Lord and ask Him if He is calling you to play a part in this work
by supporting me financially. I am need of raising $12,000 (aprox.
$1850/month) to cover all costs of my ministry traveling, living
expenses, and schooling through the next 6 1/2 months. In order to
start, I will need $3000 in my support account by March 7. What ever
is best for you, if it is one time donations, or monthly support
amounts, I am very grateful for your partnership.
You can donate by clicking the “Partner
