(I will be leading this squad as a Squad Leader and will only stay with them for the first four months and then go out to them twice as support)
“So what is the World
Race anyway?” Well I’m Glad you asked. It is more than just a
missions trip. For eleven months, Racers are full time missionaries,
traveling the world to eleven countries on three continents,
completely relying on God for the path and provisions. “Where do
you stay?” Well we sleep in tents, hostels, houses, huts…
whatever we can find and that God provides for us. “And what do
World Race Missionaries do?” All kinds of things. We help run
sports camps for kids and vacation bible schools, take food to
orphanages, help build churches, help ministers to pastor in their
communities and villages, teach English to
students, hike to remote places and preach the gospel… the list of what racers have done goes on and on. The exciting thing is
that every race is led by God to do new things and go into new areas
of ministry. The one thing that can summarize it all is that we
follow the Lord’s leading at all times and bare witness of the love
of Jesus Christ where ever we go.
