I want to fill you in on what
happened after my last report from Croatia. After making a friendship
with missionaries in the city of Osijek, we went
to a church in the seaside city of Pula
to seek out a contact there that future race teams may be able to work with. We
were there for about two weeks and I feel rather selfish because it seems to me
like I am being blessed more by the places and people God is taking me to and I
can only hope that I am as big a blessing to them. We met some of the greatest
people you can find there in Pula.
The pastor of the Evangelical Church there is doing a great work with his
church there evidenced by the fact that the small building that they are
meeting in is bursting at the seams on Sundays during services. The worship has
an energy of praise and genuiness about it that I have seldom encountered
anywhere. We built a great friendship with many of the young people there and
had the opportunity to go out and evangelize and minister with them. These
young Christians are amazingly bold and powerful workers for the kingdom and it
was humbling as a missionary to see there hearts for there community and how
passionately they pursue the Lord. One young man named Matija, was a special
blessing to me. Within a day or two of meeting him it was like we were already
brothers and he took us around and shared with us as if we were family. His
heart is huge and his wisdom is beyond his years. A young German woman named Heidi
was also a particular blessing as she served as our hostess at the church were
we stayed. She just came to Croatia
a few months ago and the Lord impacted on her heart that it is where she should
stay and live so she is living in the church facility and helping the church
there any way she can. Her heart and passion for the Lord was a testimony to
us. It was like leaving family when we drove away in the van but was heart
warming to see how God brings all His own to Him in fellowship even on opposite
sides of the world. I envy the next team to work with the church in Pula and look forward to
me next meeting with my brothers and sisters there whether it be here on earth
or in the kingdom.

Through out our time in Croatia, a
missionary from the states named David was our guide and traveling companion.
After a short few days of knowing us he was like our brother and actually took
two weeks out of his time to drive our team in his van to Pula and stay and help us during our time
there. He has a servant’s heart and the Lord is so apparent in him that we knew
by his presents with us that the Lord was guiding us through that country. In
the country of Croatia,
a place dominated by religion over relationship, the Lord is raising up a
mighty force of Christians and missionaries to take that country and claim it
for the kingdom and it was an honor to come alongside them and play even the
tiniest part in bringing the kingdom there.
