First let me apologize for how long it has been since my last real blog post. Over the last 8 weeks, my life has been a whirlwind of activities and events.
At
the beginning of May I was in Siem Reap, Cambodia for the eight month
debrief of the A squad. I taught on what it is like to start the
transition back home after the race and what opportunities are available
for them as they pray into what the Lord has next. I also sat down with
each team along with my fellow World Race Staff member Noe to see how
they were doing as a team, help them talk through and work out any
issues that were challenging them as a team, and help set them up to
finish the last three months of their race in the fulness that God
intended for them.
I then traveled down to Phnom Penh, Cambodia to spend a couple days
meeting leaders from the W and X squads and also our Adventures in
Missions long term Cambodia team. I also had a little down time with my
fellow Squad Coordinators Bethany and Noe, who were with me on the trip,
to support each other after putting on the debriefs and plan for future
squads.
I got back to the states and slept off the jet lag for a day (coming
to the US from Asia is the worst jet lag I have experienced) which was
much need rest time. Then it was four days in the office getting caught
up on everything before heading out to the woods in North Georgia to do
training camp for three new World Race squads, the F, G, and H squads. I
am the Squad Coordinator for the F squad.
I was busy throughout the week teaching the squad, supporting the
squad leaders, having one on one convos with racers as they began their
journey and overseeing the formation of the teams. During the week, the
Lord showed up in huge ways and the Spirit was with us. We saw
incredible manifestations of His love including one of the racers who
could not hear without hearing aids become healed and not need them
anymore. But best of all is seeing people getting freedom from any
guilt, shame, circumstances, or anything of their past that holds them
back and walking into the identity that the Father created them with.
“It was for freedom that Christ set us Free.” It is always an exhausting
week but I always leave it so full and fulfilled with what the Lord is
doing.
In the last two weeks since, I have been getting all the details in
place for F squad’s first four months of ministry and travel and getting
ready for their launch in Washington D.C. the first week of July. Its
been a very busy and quite honestly challenging two weeks as well but
God is good and His grace is sufficient.
I am excited for July as I am in Washington D.C. the first week
Launching the July World Racers out onto the field and then back to
North Georgia for the training Camp of the September World Race squads
where we will train over two-hundred new missionaries for the field. It
is a busy season and your prayers are greatly appreciated!!
