Well 4 weeks from today I will be
en rout to Dublin, Ireland to begin my missionary journey. I fly out of Austin
at 5:35am on Sunday, August 9th to catch a 7:25pm flight out of JFK
to Dublin with all of the other team leaders for our two squads. Oh yeah, in
case I haven’t mentioned it yet, I am going to be the team leader for my 7
person team for the Race. So what does it mean to be the team leader? Check out
my post about team leaders to see AIM’s description of my job and my thoughts
on it and the prayers I need for it.
So anyway, I will be going two days
ahead, with the other team leaders, to Ireland to prepare for this role and
also get things in line for the arrival of the rest of our squad in our launch
country. I am very excited to get going and have most of my details in line. I
will be going the next couple weeks on our family vacation to visit friends and
family in Chicago, Springfield, and Dallas and will return to Austin for my
last two weeks in the states. Please continue to remember me in prayer during
the last period at home before setting out.
