Hello and welcome to my blog!
As you’ve likely already ascertained, my name is Tim Olson. I’m 17 years old and live in Buffalo, New York. I come from a Christian family with two parents who love the Lord and four boys including myself. I accepted Christ as my savior when I was about 8 years old and, often failing, have tried to follow Him ever since.
In 2018, the Lord pushed me to start digging into His Word and begin totally surrendering everything I was to Jesus. As I explored Scripture and turned to God in prayer, He began to put on my heart a call to work in ministry. After my gap year is over, I plan on attending Cedarville University in their five year Master of Divinity program. I feel confident that the Lord has commissioned me to preach the Word and that He desires for me to pursue a future in vocational ministry.
The World Race Gap Year was put before me and I believe God has willed it to be the next chapter of my life. My heart cries out for those who have not been changed by the good news of the gospel. I want to serve the physical needs of people all over the world and, in doing so, put on display the light of Jesus Christ, that their most dire need for salvation might be met.
Thank you for taking the time to read a little about my life and mission. I hope you’ll join me as I enter into this season of my life, I will try to blog frequently and keep you updated on the work the Lord is doing around us.
Romans 10:13-14
“For, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”
