I am finally at the point where I will be writing at least once a week, if not more. As a start, I would like to explain what the world race is. It’s an 11-month mission trip all around the world to 11 different countries to be a light to people in need. The route that I decided to be a part of goes to 4 continents and the 11 countries of this route includes: Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, Cambodia, Thailand, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Uganda. These are the countries we are planning on going to, but if trouble arises, then we will be diverted to a different place. My squad consists of 49 individuals, 5 guys and 44 gals. All super awesome people and I’m glad to be going on this journey with them.

I am sure you are wondering what we will be doing in these countries? Unfortunately, all I can tell you is what I have heard from World Race Alumni or other racers blogs. From what I understand we will be working with kids, we will be doing construction work, that theses people need help with. We will be helping with sex trafficking in Cambodia and Thailand, we will be teaching English, we will be sharing the gospel of Jesus, we will be farming, and most importantly we will be the hands and feet of Jesus.

This mission trip is going to be an amazing journey and it will also be a chance for my squad and myself to be able to let go of all the comforts of our lives, be selfless, and help people who are in need of help. It’s interesting to be apart of this because all 49 of us are giving up the lives that we are all so comfortable in. We are giving up 11 months of our lives to help others, giving up jobs, cars, houses, and so much more. In a way it’s a relief to let go of so much stuff! It has made life simple and easier to focus on what is important, like focusing on what God wants for us and wants us to do. It’ll be a season of growth, learning, and community.

God called me to this and will provide, but it is also a chance to build relationships with people who are supporting me or other racers. God is working in strengthening my faith and my trust in him as I am trusting him with all aspects of my life right now. Growing is a process and thanks to God, I am growing stronger in Him every single day.

Im thankful for all everyone who has supported me so far and I am still looking for more people to join this journey with me through financial support, prayer support, and and other support you can. If you are reading this and haven’t already, please prayerfully consider supporting this mission. Please share this, subscribe to blog updates, and Donate if you can.
