Lets get starting on the subject of training camp. I left for Gainesville, Ga 12 days ago for The World Race training camp. It was a new experience that I was getting myself into, in order to prepare for The World Race. Traveling to a camp with people that I had never met, nor really even talked to. What was I thinking? This isn’t like me at all! I’ve always told myself that I am a shy introvert who doesn’t want to be around people. For myself, just the thought of living and spending time with 48 other people for 10-11 days was terrifying to me. I am totally against that and will never subject myself to that sort of torture! At least that is what I would have told you this time last year. The strange thing though is that I was kind of excited to meet these people, excited to see what they had to offer, and what I had to offer them. It was if there was someone working in my life and my heart, preparing me for what I would be subjected to during the camp. Crazy Huh..

The strangest thing happened to me while I spent time with over 100 different people from all over the country. They had all come to camp to prepare theirs hearts and theirs minds for the World Race as well. As I sit here and reflect on the last 2 weeks. I noticed that I had changed. My walls were torn down, my fears had fled, my heart was open, and I had forgiven myself, as well as others. Camp had turned into 10 wonderful days of growing, healing, forgiving, and loving others. From hiking the Appalachian trail with the guys, to dance contests with the gals, we had all become close, we had merged into a community of friends and family.

We were no longer broken individuals struggling with our pasts, rather a tight-knit community preparing to embrace the future with open arms and hearts. Jesus showed up to training camp this last week and did amazing things to our hearts, souls, and minds. People got saved, Jesus’ named had been declared by everyone, and individuals got baptized to declare their life in the name of Jesus. We worshiped around campfires with guitars, games, and some good good soul music.

The presence of his love for us was very much present, and we all had joined the spiritual fight to expand Gods kingdom. We are the body, we are his hands and feet. The 5th Generation of World Racers have been united in the name of Jesus and we are preparing to go into the world together to bring love, joy, and the name of Jesus to those in need. Gods going to do something so so GREAT with the 5th Generation of racers. I hope that you reading this, will join us with financial support, prayer support, and support by subscripting to a world racers blog.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
