My time in Haiti is coming to a close in a few short days. It feels like yesterday that I was getting off the field from my month 11 and now this new journey seems to be flying by quicker than the last. I like to call it month 14 because this is my new normal. Being on the field feels like home.
As I soak up every minute of this beautiful country and the sweet people that inhabit it I would like to take you on a picture road trip and tell you about the month we’ve had.
Meet the two teams of D-Squad I’ve had the privilege of living with this month; Magic School Bus and Team Tent.
Their eagerness and hunger for the things of God has refreshed and encouraged my soul in all the good ways.
Their also really crazy! I’ve laughed so much in the last 4 weeks!

Most of our month has been spent on this small compound.. community living gotta love it.

Our ministry this month is with Supply and Multiply. (Check them out at the bottom!)
We’ve worked with tons of kids in our small beach community. We take them swimming on Sundays and hold bible clubs on Saturdays.

We’ve also partnered with a local school a few times a week to provide a meal for the students. The joy on their faces is evident that this is potentially their only meal for the day if not days.

Another part of our ministry is mountain evangelism. One team has been building a house for a very poor family while the other one has been walking the streets meeting new faces and engaging in fruitful conversations. We’ve seen quite a few people healed and several people have accepted Christ as their Savior. We’ve heard stories of people turning away from voodoo to Jesus through other missionary teams that have come here. God is doing incredible works and we are privileged to partner with Him in that.

Throughout my race I was able to see a lot of beautiful creation. Through hikes and adventure days and just driving from point A to B. One thing I asked God for was to never let me lose my wonder for what He’s created. As if words can do it justice! It’s like seeing it for the first time every time! What a sweet savior we have!

As always, I appreciate each and everyone of you who take the time to read, pray, and support this crazy thing called my life.
with love,
Tim
