Month 8. Nepal. 11 men. R Squad & Fusion Squad. MANistry. This is going to be one epic month.
We are expecting God to use us to reach the unreached people of Nepal and bring us closer together as brothers in Christ. When we arrived in Nepal we were completely amazed at how beautiful this place was. Vast mountains, really sweet people, and a deep cultural background much like India but different in its own way. This month we are combining with Fusion guys to create a MANistry month. This is where we’ll get to spend the month as just guys away from the women. We are also doing ATL (Ask The Lord) and this allows us to have no set ministry but totally relying on where the Spirit leads us.
I personally have had trekking on my heart for awhile but I never thought it would be possible. Especially in Nepal. I’ve wanted to experience the foot hills of the Himalayas and reach the people that don’t typically encounter Christians. Through God’s provision and faithfulness though we’re believing that this month is the month for just that. We have an amazing opportunity to trek the Annapurna Base Camp for 10 days. Our 11 guys will be trekking with a local guide and along the way we’ll stop at different tea houses each night for rest. These houses are run by locals and their families for backpackers that come through the area. As I’ve said, what an amazing opportunity to bring the Gospel to those places and those families.
The cost of the 10 day trek is around $600. This includes lodging, food, our local guides, and the permits we must carry to be able to trek in these areas. It’s illegal for foreigners to trek without the proper permit. We are all believing that if this is the Lord’s will it will happen.
