It’s month seven of the race, and I’ve loved looking back at all the incredible things God has taught me the last 6 months. I’m always eager to see the new, fresh things God wants to reveal to me. I seek Him with anticipation and expectancy, and I can’t wait to hear the latest revelation from His infinite wisdom. Discerning His will has been a big topic of late if you haven’t picked up on it, and we’re all eager to get the latest Word on where God wants us. So, God, what do you have for me?

I opened up Colossians, seeking something fresh, something new. To some extent…I was disappointed. I fell upon verses like:

“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins”
-Col 1:13-14

“Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds…but now he has reconciled you by Christ…to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation”
-Col 1:21-22

“When you were DEAD in your sins…God made you ALIVE in Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code…that was against us…he took it away, nailing it to the cross”
-Col 2:13-14

Let me this never be old news. Let me never be disappointed when I seek God and all I find is the gospel. He has revealed His mystery to me.

“this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col 1:27)

Maybe you came here really hoping I’d have a really fresh original thought to offer. Hopefully you’re leaving with the gospel.

“My grace is sufficient for you” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
