How amazing is this God that we have?! How great is His love?? He sent His son into this world which greatly needs him. And then he took care of absolutely everything we would ever truly need to worry about and left us with these commands. Love others as you love yourself. Love God with everything that you are. Go. Preach the goodness of my coming! Tell the world the truth of my Father and I and our Love for them. Tell them about this Hope which is for all the world!
But he didn’t just leave us with commands to try and fulfill in our own power like we had been trying to do for hundreds of years. He sent His Holy Spirit out into the world to be with His followers to empower them to fulfill the will of God, the Great Commission. He has given to us every blessing and withheld nothing! No! Nothing has been withheld from His beloved. All love, all joy, all peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control has been given to us and all we are to do is to receive it as a child. The source of all these things lives in us and is waiting to burst forth from each and every one of you into the world and into the lives of each person God has placed into your life. Just believe! Receive the good gifts he has for you His child! He wants to
use you today. This day he has awoken you out of perfect love, mercy and grace to go out and change the world. Don’t worry about the worries you may be facing. God is walking side by side with you and isn’t going to leave you. Receive the peace that God has for you this day. This is the only way we can ever make a difference. We could feed every hungry child, clothe every naked person and pwrovide medicine and healthcare to all the world but none of that would matter without Gods great love. Without his blessing what lasting difference would it make? What would make an eternal difference is if you took all that you, as a child of God, has to offer and shared it with the world. You’re already equipped to do that this day if you personally know Jesus as your Lord and Savior. No need to go anywhere special. If there’s somewhere God wants you to be then He will bring you there. Trust that. He works in our lives in such incredible ways when we seek after him. Everything from our hearts desires to where our stomach is telling us to go eat for lunch. So don’t wait! Go! Share these wonderful free gifts with the world!
What better way to celebrate Christmas than to continue the ministry He came down from heaven to start 2000 years ago. I pray that wherever God has you in life today that you would realize the importance of the ministry God has called you to. There’s people in your life who need to know the truth that’s been revealed to you. And God had chosen you, His child, to share it with them. I hope this encourages you. Maybe you’ve been wondering what your purpose in life is or what you could possibly do to make a difference but the things is that when you’re walking with the Prince of Peace even the smallest acts of love make an eternal impact. Love does so much more than we see so whatever situation you may find yourself in today simply choose love.
So this is just something God put on my heart to share. Today I’m celebrating Christmas away from home for the first time and my team has been trying our hardest to get into the Christmas spirit by watching Christmas movies, listening to some of our favorite Christmas songs and we even had a Christmas party with some of the disabled kids here in Africa complete with Christmas Carols, made from scratch ginger bread cookies and of course a swim in Lake Malawi. I have one final deadline coming up on the first of January. Yup, this is the big one and it’s hard to believe I’ve made it this far! I still have a bit to go though still needing roughly $1,700 to be able to finish this trip. Yeah that’s right only a week to raise it! Crazy I know?? So I humbly ask that you would please contribute to helping me reach my final fundraising deadline. I appreciate any contribution you are able to make whether big or small.
