Togo!!
We have begun our 2nd month in Africa, in the French Colony of Togo. It’s cool, you can really feel how the French have influenced their culture, besides the language, everything just has a different vibe than Ghana. It’s beautiful, lots of palms and sand, granted we are right by the beach.
It is A.T.L. Month (ask the lord) which means that we need to find our own contacts. We were unable to get anything secured before we left Ghana so we just traveled to Togo knowing that it was where God was leading us. Well it’s basically the first day and we sent a couple people out to meet with Compassion International here in Togo and they are setting up some work for us. Awesome! The rest of us went to the beach (only one street away) and sat under some palms and had a sweet worship session, a few left to go on a prayer walk, and then we all met up for lunch. A pretty good first half of the first day! This month will basically give us an opportunity to tune in to what God is saying every day, every hour, every moment. Where we go, what we do, who we speak to, what we say, we will let Him guide all of it. It’s exciting because from past experience with this sort of thing the most amazing, unbelievable, awesome things happen when you give God control.
So I challenge all of you to spend some time and do the same, give up the reigns for a bit, let God guide your life for a while, maybe 10 minutes, maybe an hour, maybe even a whole day. He will surprise you.
God Bless! Talk to ya later!
