Monday…
Today we left to go to an amusement / water park. We have been planning this trip for about a week. Our team, the pastor and his family all piled into a van at 5 in the morning and set off on our 3 – 5 hour journey 🙂 Everyone was sooooo excited, smiles and laughs would fall across our faces anytime the fam and our team talked about the park. We got to the park around 9 and realized that they were closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Oh NO! What Now!?
Hahaha well guess what, of course we are only about an hour away from the Pacific Ocean! So we decided to spend a day at the beach!! We got back into the van and at about hour 6 1/2 (we stopped at a mc donalds for breakfast (they play hilariously awesome songs at mcdonalds in Guatemala (it was also the first time any of them had eaten at mcdonalds(i loved it)))) as i was saying about hour 6 1/2 we pulled up to the beach.. BEAUTIFUL. Look out across a beautiful black sand beach at the giants waves crashing down. Turning around you see tiki hut restaurants and shops and rows of palm trees all the way down the beach. Waaaayyy better than a dirty amusement park if you ask me haha.

SO we all spent a couple hours body surfing and just playin in the water, it was soo much fun and a well needed time to just let go and have fun. For lunch we headed up to one of the beautiful straw huts and ordered some lunch. Seafood anyone? It was amazing we made Pastor get the lobster, one of his sons found a whole crab in his soup, Jory and Rebekah’s plates came with a huge red snapper, head and all, on them hahaha. Everyone had a blast, it is most definately a meal and a day I will remember forever. I touched on this point a little on my last post, but I am totally ok with throwing all my plans away and living in everything that God has planned for me. Because He knows what I like a whooole lot better than I do.
