For the first month of World Race, we lived at Zion Hostel. A five stories tall building, on the bottom floor is a coffee shop where we find the best reliable wifi. On top of the there’s a roof which we had the best memories.  A mall we ate most of our meals, a market where we ate a scorpion, and few little hostel surrounded our home.

There was a small shop slash Thai massage slash hostel right across our hostel. They have Chinese advertisement above there shop. I thought it was super cool, I feel by the Holy spirit called me to talk to the shopkeeper.

Most of our days was fill with ministry at Agape orphanage. It was always on my mind to share the Gospel with the shopkeeper, But I never forgot about it. It was right before we left to Lampang for debrief, me and Landon and Zach was getting snacks for the road trip. We got done from Big C (a grocery store we love dearly), we didn’t want to go back because our hostel only allow to have A/C on during sun down to sun up. So we walked around, and I told them I feel. that God want me to talk to the shopkeeper across the street from us; we got nothing better to do  So they agreed to go. It was kind of awkward because we weren’t buying anything, we just sit in front of the shopkeeper and talked to them. We found out she wasn’t the shopkeeper she was a employee. She didn’t spoke English, only spokes Thai and Chinese. Thank to my parents and my neighbor I kept my Chinese up. I talked to her about her family and stuff, I try to find opportunity to bring up the topic of God. I looked around the shop and saw a cross painting and written Jesus in Chinese. So I pop the question, and asked them do you believe in God? They did they were both Christian, I told them about what we were doing in Thailand, Landon and Zach asked some question and I translated for them. We prayed for her family and her mother’s car accident.

One day I was doing devotion outside of the coffee shop, then there were a group of Chinese people walking by. They took a picture of me, I was like what the heck, I’m not that cool. I asked boldly why did you just took a picture of me? They said they saw me study really hard, so they want to snap a picture to set example for their kids.  I took the opportunity and told them what I’m studying AKA the Bible. So I pop the question and share the Gospel to them.

Then another day, I really needed a haircut, there was a barber shop right across the hostel. The problem is had to drag one of my friend along because of the two people rule, so we won’t get kidnapped. Landon camed with me.  When I was at the barber shop, truth is the lady didn’t know what she was doing, I told her what to do exactly. In the middle of hair cut, a lady came in to dye her hair, she was from China, so I told her I was born in China and told her why I was here in Thailand, so I pop the question, and share the gospel with her.

Being a Christian is not just about go to church and do Christian stuff. We get to rejoice with others on how good our God is. God has blessed me with the language of Chinese, I want to take advantage of it and further the Kingdom.
