Hello everyone,
Hope you are doing well. Its has been awhile since my last post. So much has happened I don’t know where to start. So many stories. Throughout these stories, there are several that found a special place in my heart. One story deals with an answered prayer.
While in Panama, God answered a prayer in unexpected way. We stayed near David City, at a YWAM base and had the opportunity to participate in their bible distribution program. For the past 5 years the YWAM base has delivered bibles all over David City. As the bibles were distributed, they would mark off the block and move onto the next one. The goal is to provide all of David city with bibles.
One morning our team distributed bibles on the door steps of people around David City. We go up and knock on the door. If they were not home, a bible was left on the porch. We encountered so many people that wanted a bible or to know about God. Then, as we continued to go door to door, we started to ask them, if they would like us to pray for them.
As we continued on down the road,we had a couple of bibles left and decided to head down an alleyway. There we Knocked on the door. We waited several minutes and just as we were about to leave, a lady came out. We asked if she wanted a bible. She busted out into tears and started to cry. Then she began to told us that her bible fell apart and was thrown in the trash. Then she told us due to being pregnant, she could not go to church. She has been praying for God to provide a new bible. During our conversation, she told us that this was such a God send. Then her story continued as she told us today she was being evicted from ger home. She said,” that the bible gave her hope and was the best blessing anyone could hope for. It was so good to see the joy in her smile. It really is the simple things. Stay tunes for more stories about the trip
