These past ten months have been such a whirlwind. It just seems yesterday we started the task of going out to serve God around the world. Learning to travel around my any means of transportation. Bus car( piling 8 people in a 4 person car), plane , train, back of pickup trucks, ferry, bicycles and even walking . The world seem to be at our feet and I was ready to see what was in-store. Nothing could ever prepare me for what was I saw or witness on this trip.
God is so great and he provided every step of the way. He has changed my heart, healed people right in-front of my eyes and opened doors that never thought would be possible. He showed me that I am present even though it may not seem like it. He showed me, with working in the underground church and how people will walk for miles to just attend a church every 4 weeks. To the simple things, such as the laughter of a child. He showed me his hope and encouragement when all you wanted to do was yell, scream, and cry.
Now as I prepare to come back home, through the tears and laughter. The journey is not done and it does not have to end with the last leg of the race. In Matthew 22:37-39.” Jesus replied, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the greatest commandment. And the second is Love your neighbor as yourself.
God called us to love him and to love the other people of the world. No matter the differences. Every single person is suffering and going through trials of their own. It just might be below the surface. It time to head back home. While the world is in a panic from the coronavirus, God reminds me that there are people who are lost in the USA and looking for the glimpse of hope to ease the pain. It time to take the journey to a new level. To come back home and give hope to family members, friends , neighbors. To be a light that shine with God‘s love, in a dark and chaotic world.
