They say a pictures is worth a thousand words. Well here is a thousand words or less to describe  training camp and what God has been doing during this time.

Training was so crazy, and it all blurred together. Classes consisted  of training on spiritual growth, culture of the world , safety and Bringing God into conversation We met our squad members, and split down to smaller teams. My team consists of 7 amazing ladies. See www.catherinechoquette.theworldrace.org post to get to know us. During training, I have watched this team grow. God broke down walls and brought us closer as a family. .It has been an awesome experience to grow close to this team/squad and watch how we all are struggling with something in life.. This squad truly brings a light to a dark and desperate world.  Isiah 58 : 8” Then your light will will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly apear …”

During training camp God was setting the stage for the next year. We learned about the different cultures, how people think, and how we are perceived. He opened many eyes  and including myself to really see his trueself and his love for us.

One of the most brutal challenges was a 2.2 mile hike with a 50 pound pack. Our team made it, and it was a such a team effort. We had 38 minutes to complete it, and our team finished exactly 38 minutes even.

Next we left the United States to start our journey around the world. We arrived down in Nicaragua at around two in the morning mt time.We all piled into 3 vans. Sitting next to each other is very common in Nicaragua.

As we arrived at camp, it has been such a blessing. Two weeks worth of bucket showers at training  camp one get very excited to see a real shower and a good bed. Sometimes is it the littlest thing in life we take for granted .

One thing God has been teaching me is he will never leave us, never forsake us and he provides everything you need, not what you want .

Stay tuned next week to learn what is happening in Nicaragua.
