Hey y’all!

My name is Tiffany and I am 22 years old. I am currently a senior at Western Carolina University (GO CATS!), studying Recreational Therapy with a minor in Psychology.  Even though I am attending Western Carolina University, I am a die hard Clemson Tiger fan (GO TIGERS)! At Western Carolina, I am involved in different clubs and organizations including: Sigma Alpha Omega, University Participant Program, The Bridge Church, The Recreational Therapy Association, and a variety of intramural sports. I also work for the Ramsey Center, Home Health Care, and The Cliffs.

Growing up I always knew God had a plan for my life, but he never fails to have a bigger plan than I could have imagined. I was born in Greenville, SC and have lived in the little town of Pickens, SC my entire life. I have always had a love for others around me and making them happy or helping them anyway I can. After graduating high school, I was able to travel to Peru two summers on mission trips. I fell in love with the work we were able to do with the adults and children. We were also able to impact many of their lives in a positive way. Little did I know that this was just the foundation to God’s bigger plan for my life. After being a part of international mission trips, church sports camps, music camps, and FCA basketball camps, I have realized that God has been preparing me for his plan, not my own. Without God in my life, I would not be the person I am today, because I cannot do anything without Him.

A few things that may help you know me a little better:

          1. My family means the world to me. I have always grown up with a huge family. I cannot remember a time that I did not have the loving support of my family. My close family consists of my Mom and Dad, my sisters who are about to graduate from high school, who are twins, my grandma “Nanny”, my grandma “Mema”, and my grandpa “Papa”. My other grandpa “Papa” passed away this past year in 2017, but it only brought our family closer together. I have many other family members who I am very close to, but there are way to many to tell y’all about. (All family members not pictured)My Mom, Dad, and sister Sabrina and Sarah.

          2. I have some of the most amazing God given friends a person could ever ask for. After graduating high school, I left my small town of Pickens, SC and moved to the small town of Cullowhee, NC. In the move, I did not know anyone who was at Western Carolina University. I was leaving my home once again trusting God’s plan for me. Not only had God blessed me with some amazing friends from my home town, but he blessed me once again beyond measure. I can honestly say that I have some of the most amazing, caring, and supportive friends around. God blessed me with my sorority sisters, church community, intramural sports teammates, and friends I made over the years at school. God even blessed me with keeping some great friends in my home town who have been around for the long hall. (All friends not pictured)

          3. Some of my favorite things to do are play sports, sing and play music, dance around, and be with the people I love. I have always been around sports and music for as long as I can remember. Some of my favorite sports to play are volleyball and basketball. As for singing, if there is a song on and playing that I know, then I am probably the one singing right along.

          4. Making others around me smile is one of my favorite things to do. Smiling can become contagious and lead to laughter. If I can simply make someone smile, then I have made their day just a little brighter.

          5. My favorite TV show is CHUCK…. If you have not had a chance to see it, I highly recommend watching it! (It’s currently on amazon prime)

          6. I am a sucker for children. I love being around kids and enjoy being a grown up kid any chance I get. I believe that children see life from the lens that Christ calls us to live by. Children are fully dependent on their parents and have the mindset that anything is possible and nothing will truly hurt them. If we take that mind set and apply it to our walk with Christ, the whole game changes. If we (myself included) find a way to live fully dependent on Christ and understand that He is always with us, then anything is possible with Christ (Philippians 4:13).

These are just a few facts about me and my life that I wanted to share with you. I also hope that you continue to read my blogs as you will get to be apart of my life and have the opportunity to get to know me even better. Through my blog, I hope you not only see how God is using my life, teaching me, and growing me. I hope you find a way to embrace this new adventure with me through my pictures, blogs, and videos. I would also love for you to be in continual prayer for not only me, but also my squad as God has HUGE plans for us and those we will be serving before, during, and after the race. Your financial support, prayers, and love mean the world to me.

Much Love Always,

Tiffany
