100 Days and Counting

Today I am 100 days away from launch! ONLY 100 MORE DAYS!!!!!! That is so hard to believe that I will be leaving for the World Race in days. With that being said, I wanted to share “100 I am’s” that have run through my head leading up to the race. (These are in no specific order)

I am……..

1. Excited to fill up my passport with so many different countries
2. Ready to meet so many amazing squad members
3. Ready to travel the world with new friends God has placed in my life
4. Excited to learning new languages
5. Excited to taste new foods
6. Ready to see the beautiful mountains across the world
7. Ready to share the Gospel with the people God places into my life
8. Ready to share my testimony
9. Excited to grow in my personal relationship with Christ
10. Excited to grow others through my story
11. Super excited to travel to countries that I have never been to before
12. Excited to possibly go volcano boarding
13. Ready to possibly ride an camel
14. Hoping to not get super sunburnt
15. Ready to possibly ride an elephant
16. Hoping to go Zip lining in God’s creation around the world
17. Ready to visit and share the gospel in Guatemala
18. Ready to visit and share the gospel in Nicaragua
19. Not looking forward to seeing lots of spiders
20. Ready to visit and share the gospel in Costa Rica
21. Ready to visit and share the gospel in Morocco
22. Hoping I will not lose my gear during the trip
23. Ready to visit and share the gospel in Ethiopia
24. Ready to visit and share the gospel in Djibouti
25. Excited to spend thanksgiving in Djibouti
26. Not looking forward to missing Thanksgiving with my family
27. Going to miss a home cooked meal at Thanksgiving
28. Going to miss seeing WCU perform in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving day parade
29. Excited to have new twist on this year’s thanksgiving
30. Not looking forward to more than likely getting sick during the trip
31. Ready to visit and share the gospel in India
32. Not ready to spend Christmas away from family and friends
33. Going to miss helping decorate for Christmas and other festivities
34. Going to miss Christmas Eve Eve and Dirty Santa fights with the family
35. Going to miss mom’s cooking and cookies
36. Excited to spend Christmas in India
37. Ready to visit and share the gospel in Nepal
38. Hoping to see Mount Everest…… YES MOUNT EVEREST
39. Ready to visit and share the gospel in Myanmar
40. Ready to visit and share the gospel in Thailand
41. Hoping that I don’t get lice while I am gone
42. Ready to visit and share the gospel in Indonesia
43. Hoping to climb several different volcanoes
44. Ready to spend my 24^th birthday in Indonesia
45. Not ready to spend my birthday away from family and friends
46. Excited to spend my birthday with my squad/ team
47. Not ready to say goodbye to my family for 11 months
48. Not ready to say goodbye to my friends for 11 months
49. Praying that God watches over my friends while I am away
50. Praying that God watches over my family while I am away
51. Praying God protects me while I am gone on this trip
52. Hoping that I do not become too homesick while I am gone
53. Going to miss celebrating my family and friends birthdays
54. Excited to celebrate my new squad mates upcoming birthdays
55. Not looking forward to missing the twins first year of college
56. Blessed to be able to see the twins graduate before I leave
57. Thankful to have the support of my family and friends for this upcoming trip
58. Looking forward to growing deeper in my personal faith during this trip
59. Not looking forward to missing my own bed for a year
60. Glad I do not have to take any more shots
61. Trying to decide what clothes to bring while I am gone
62. Trying to decide what pictures to pack to take with me
63. Trying to decide what books to purchase and put on my kindle
64. Trying not to think about the crazy adventure I will miss with my family while I am gone
65. Looking forward to the crazy adventures I will have while I am gone
66. Excited to be able to use FaceTime/ Skype to be able to call home
67. Excited to be able to continue blogging while I am gone on my trip
68. Excited to be able to have Wi-Fi and some points throughout my trip
69. Trying to learn how to Vlog
70. Excited to Vlog my trip so everyone can live with me through the videos
71. Looking forward to using my tent to call my home
72. Looking forward to using my sleeping back and sleeping pad as my bed
73. Hoping my bug repellent and bug net works and protects me
74. Praying my journey allows spiritual growth in the people around me
75. Looking forward to journaling throughout my trip
76. Thankful for the people who have supported me thus far in my journey
77. Thankful for the people who helped make me the person I am today
78. Ready to try foods I will like and dislike
79. Excited to hike in many different places throughout the world
80. Excited to take several pictures while I am gone
81. Going to miss having my own bathroom
82. Looking forward to living in community with my squad mates
83. Looking forward to training camp in our first country
84. Going to miss dad’s conversations where he was always right
85. Going to miss being double teamed by the twins
86. Excited to work in different ministry opportunities in each country we will travel to during the race
87. Excited to buy new clothes during the trip that are suitable to each culture
88. Going to miss the little things that I see each day while I am home
89. Getting closer to having all of the essentials for my trip
90. Excited to see the new things each day while I am traveling
91. Blessed to be 70% funded for my trip
92. Thankful for the prayer support of friends and family thus far in my journey
93. Thankful for the financial support of friends and family thus far in my journey
94. Still packing my bags for the trip
95. Truly in awe of God’s Grace, Glory, Power, and Love leading up to this trip
96. Going to miss Clemson Football
97. Going to miss the little town of Pickens SC
98. Excited to learn about new cultures and different ways of living
99. Beyond blessed God has called me to this trip and this is part of his plan for me
100. Truly excited for the next 100 days and the entire trip that is upcoming

 

100 days and quickly counting down, but I am truly looking forward to the days ahead and the journey God has planned for my life. Thank you for everyone’s continued love and support!
