So my team and I have had 5 plane rides starting on the 6th if April and ended the 10th of April.
#1.
We went from Panama City to Houston which we had a two hour layover but had to go through customs with all of our bags because we were entering the country again.
During the flight I was able to watch 2 movies. I watched Mary Poppins (the new one). The Lord talked to me through that movie and showed me that I should never loose my joy and wonder of him and to be like a child in that.

Then we flew from Houston to LAX.
We got to LA at midnight on the 7th and had a 24 hour layover their. Adventures in Missions booked us a hotel to stay at instead of having to sleep at the airport.
On the flight, I was able to watch movies again and I didn’t want to but rather spend time with God but I realized they had the movie, Facing The Giants (which is a Christian movie). I watched it and God spoke to me a lot in that movie. The just is to hold nothing back, give it all you got, don’t give in or give up. That we are giant slayers in the spiritual realm. They might be scary and big but we can outsmart them with God. Nothing is impossible with God. God’s bigger than any giant we face. We just have to prepare for rain and give it our best and he will do the rest.
We were able to go with a buddy to do what ever we wanted in LA (with in the World Race Guidelines) until 7 pm that night. At 7 pm we needed to be back at the hotel to go to the airport to make it to our next flight at 11.
I went with 3 of my teammates to the Santa Monica Pier and then went walking down to Venice Beach. We ended up walking to a skate park that apparently hosts the X-Games for skateboarding. That was surprising one of my favorite things that day. Then we went to In and Out Burger and met up with the rest of my team. Then went to the Marina where all the boats are stored. Then went to Target to get a few things. When my team and I were doing these things their was something else happening at the hotel where we were staying. Some of my squadmates were their on lockdown in the hotel because their was a shooter loose in the hotel. During the day we were getting the low down every 30 minutes. They were on lockdown most of the day but finally was released for a few hours to go shopping. No one got hurt except a police officer who got shot in the leg. It was quite an experience for our squad.
#3.
Flew from LAX to China. It was a 15 hour flight and we ended up missing the day of April 8th because it’s a 12 hour time difference ahead, so we skipped the day of April 8th.
We were able to watch movies on this flight as well. I watched two movies. I watched this movie called Ben is Black and it’s a very serious movie. It’s about this drug addict that comes home from rehab the day before Christmas and his mom lets him stay for a day but goes through the day trying to save her sons life and trying to not let him get drugs or overdose. It was a heavy movie and I had to process it a little bit afterwards. Before the Race I worked at Teen Challenge rehabilitation center for teen girls who have been addicted to drugs and I was thinking about them most of the time. I had to stop and pray for them.
We had a 2 hour layover here as well but we had to go through customs again but we didn’t need to get our bags because we had a connecting flight.
I split a meal with a teammate at the China airport and it ended up being chicken feet but we didn’t know what it was until we stopped eating it because the menu was in Chinese.

We flew from China to Jakarta, Indonesia.
Their were no movies on this plane. I sat right next to two Chinese people instead of my squadmates(just how the seating laid out). I spent time with God. I spent time looking out the window with the sun shining through. We were at this point in the air that it seemed like the clouds looked like a white ocean over the sky. It was beautiful and God spoke to me saying, “I am calling you to walk on the water and get out of the boat.” I said, “what if I want to walk on clouds instead?” He said, “ Okay, let’s walk on clouds together. Let’s do the impossible together. Just trust me.”
We had a 12 hour layover in the Jakarta airport.

Just my team (The Freedom Fighters) flew from Jakarta to Ambon(a small island in Indonesia). This month we are working with Wycliffe Bible Translators on the island of Ambon.
I am needing only $5,700 to be fully funded! Please consider donating
