It’s already been an adventure preparing for the World Race! God called me to go on this trip in mid-July and has answered prayer in awesome ways since then. I want to be a full-time missionary in India one day and God is going to use the World Race to prepare me for overseas missions!  I can’t wait 🙂  We will be camping a lot throughout the trip so I have begun the process of getting my equipment such as my sleeping bag, back pack and tent that will be my new home for 11 months 🙂  Since embarking on this journey, God has provided in miraculous ways!  My family has come together to plan three fundraisers for me before I leave in January.  I am so blessed to have a whole family of “personal assistants!”  They helped me plan a 5K fundraiser called the Globe Trot 5K which we had yesterday.  We started a month ago and for two weeks we didn’t get many responses at all for the items we needed for the 5K.  I felt the Lord asking me to pray with my family so I sent a prayer to them one morning praying specifically for the items we needed for the 5K and God started answering prayer left and right.  Five minutes after I sent the first prayer e-mail, we received a donation of 60 free T-shirts for the Globe Trot 5K!  We received donations for our running packets, a banner, magnets and medals for the winners!  We made $1,000 in all through it!  We had an entire team of volunteers who ran our 11 race stations representing the 11 countries I will be going to next year, made 1100 T-shirt necklaces for the racers to get at each station, provided food for the racers and volunteers, made flag poles for each of the flags and my dad ran and biked the 5K a total of at least 7 times setting up the trail and breaking down everything afterwards.  He unfortunately has battle scars from this great feat!  I am so thankful to God for all of the friends and family who have come alongside me to support me through prayer and finances.  Thank you!
