First thing, as of yesterday I want to be like a duck.

Here’s why:

I decided to visit a place that is filled with ducks and beautiful trees to worship Jesus in quiet time. Nature is somewhere I can really feel God’s spirit all around me. I was so eager to be at this pond as I sat there I just realized how much God is in our lives daily. The wind was blowing ever so gently and the music of the birds was joyous, the scent of the flowers increased with every blink. I was totally in awe of God’s creation here on Earth. God is the father of Art. He creates beautiful things out of the dust….you and I.

While I’m sitting in silence I realized just how happy, dependent, and lovely the ducks were at this pond. As they waddle around the pond waiting for the next loving and caring person to feed them until their heart desired. I realized I am one of those ducks except…. I may aimlessly walk around searching for something or someone to fill me up with happiness once I’ve been filled I go on my marry way in search for the next best thing. But the most important part is that nothing can fill me except Christ Jesus….which means total dependency upon my Lord & Savior….my Father the Creator. Now, my life can be in God’s hands; just like those ducks.

Lord just like you have filled those ducks with just wanted they needed. I ask that we seek you and may have an everlasting contentment & joy wherever we are at in our lives that it may all please you. Jesus feed us in every aspect of our life. How much more would you feed us with joy and excitement spiritually? You are eager, caring, and loving to want to fill us daily with your spirit and truth. Lord I thank you for your presence through everything I see from the grass to the flowers to the trees to the ants that kept biting me yesterday. Make our hearts new to your beauty that it may be a constant tug on our hearts to see your kingdom done here on Earth.

I want to be your work Lord… a river of water flowing out of me to bring blessings to others. To come and drank from you, to be involved wholeheartedly and committed to your will upon my life.

Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, “Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

John 7:38

Friends there is a God serious about your obedience & fruitfulness. He is real and wants a real relationship. We are utterly dependent upon Him. Jesus I thank you for making me new and continually changing my heart for your glory. Let me be a duck that waddles, fully content while you constantly feed me in every part of my soul and my life.

We LOVE you Father and are forever grateful.
