Hi everyone,
Thank you for supporting me this far. I wouldn’t be here without your help through prayer and finances. Let’s go through some total God moments, He has been moving so much lately. Starting from launch the Lord has been doing incredible things. Prior to launch I had not reached the 10k financial goal I was shy a couple hundred. I got on the internet the day that we were in the airport about to fly out in 4 hours and to my surprise someone generously donated and the amount brought me up to $10,120. Woah. I was so excited and just truly in awe of God’s faithfulness. His will does prevail. So thank you to that person who anonymously helped reach my goal financially. I ask that you may help support me in prayer to reach my next financial goal of $3,000 by the end of October. Mucho Gracias. (Thank you very much). I’ve picked up a few Spanish since being here for almost a week. God is so powerful, He has helped me understand and learn quite a bit when it comes to Spanish. It’s a communicational blessing.
During a worship session on one of the nights of launch, the lord laid on my heart that “God is ready to use these cities and they will make room for His glory, they are ready for it.” My heart just felt God’s love for his people in all the other nations. His spirit is already in each country, city, and home that we will be entering into; it’s now time to serve alongside him in such a beautiful tangible way to share the love of Christ.
Alright, hello from Costa Rica. This is will a pretty basic blog post with just a lot of cool info. So enjoy (:
We made it here safely last Wednesday night 9/9. We arrived in the airport and took multiple vans to our host house to sleep. About 36 of us were shuttled over through the city of San Jose to arrive at this church called “Iglesia luz Y vida” (the church of light and life). This was a total blessing from the Lord that he arranged for us to stay at Pastor Pilo’s church. They are wonderful people who absolutely loved that we arrived. They generously gave us all kinds of fruits and breakfast. The lord’s heart was truly shown through Pastor Pilo’s family. I hope to one day come back and help serve in his ministry in San Jose. Costa Rica has made a place in my heart.
God has provided so much so far from safe travels, food, rest, joy, shelter, beds, and wonderful native people. We arrived at our ministry site on Thursday 9/10. Our host family (the Sear’s Family) came and picked us up. They are so welcoming and already feel like family in just 5 days. We are even invited to their family night every Monday! So wonderful. The ministry they have here in the town of La Carpio has so many blessings. When I walked into this little building I instantly felt like home. I’m so excited to be able to serve alongside our ministry host’s needs. Their long term goals will be building a new building to hold more people and more classrooms and to grow their ministry team to have people stay & help for long term.
The fruit of the spirit here at Give Dignity is so tangible. The lord’s work is here, lives are being restored & transformed, joy just leaks out of the walls, and it’s placed right in the middle of hard poverty to meet the local’s right where they are at. Many kids are in the scholarship program to learn English and then there is classes called “Jobs for Life” for adults/mothers to make a living for themselves. The “Jobs for Life” classes bring back hope and dignity to the individual and their families. The lord’s hand is with this place and all that the Sear’s family is doing through His Spirit. The team and I are here to help bless this family and relieve them of all the hard work they have been doing for several years now with no breaks.
I love all of you supporters very much and i’ll try to post another blog soon. (:Costa Rican Independence Day activities with some of the local children of La Carpio.
