Hello all my wonderful supporters.

I wanted to give some basic information about various questions that I have been asked recently. Also, thank you for all the support thus far..so very exciting to see God moving through prayer these past 2 months, as of right now my total funds raised $910.00. Wow, so amazing with all the support, Love and Guidance from family & Friends. Glory to Jesus.

Thank you for your generous heart and willingness to give in support of this missions trip. Your help means the world to me, and with that I am very grateful. I am still always down to buy you coffee or lunch (:

Here are some basic points:

Yellow fever is the only shot required as I might need proof of it to get into countries. Other than that, most missionaries on this missions trip get the normal shot updates like Hep. A, Hep. B, tetanus, typhoid, etc.

We don’t have an exact plan of where the missionaries will be (city) and who will be where. I won’t know where I’ll be for month 1 until closer to launch in September. My squad will be split up into teams and the teams will go to different places throughout the countries I’m in. I’ll find out more specific ministry information anywhere from a couple weeks to a couple days or hours before I move to the next country.

In the office Adventures in Missions have, what they call, Regional Directors. Their job is to stay in constant communication with ministries and host in their specific region. They will in go on trips for months on end to visit with the hosts and check in with them. There are some long lasting racer and host relationships. It varies a lot on how each racer communicates with the contact. There are several racers that have also gone back to a specific ministry they worked with on the Race to be a long-term missionary.

Our heart is to come along side ministries already in place. We don’t want to walk in and tell them how to do stuff as that wouldn’t be helpful of us to do. We want to be hands and feet. We want to help and empower as best we can in the short amount of time we have. The last thing we want to do is “fix them.” But, our heart is to develop those long lasting relationships that will continue post-Race.

The trip cost is for food, travel, lodging, etc.

In some countries there will have a translator, but not in all. Most contacts speak some English and can translate. A lot of times, we’ll get to play charades. The Lord shows up! In most countries we will be able to learn a couple phrases and words. I still plan on learning one of the languages before I leave in September. (haven’t figured out which one I will attempt to learn…yet)

If you have more questions please feel free to call/email/comment. I love answering questions to the best of my abilities, this helps prepare me. (:

Enjoy this beautiful week.

“As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.”
