Before I get to the point of this blog I would like to take a minute and tell you why I titled it Oranges. During my time in preparing for the Race I had reached a point in which I was in need of God’s provision for my life. A friend and I decided one day that we were going to do a fruits only fast together, and spend the day praying for one another. It was during this day that, through some pretty funny circumstances, God provided us both with oranges. God used those oranges to speak to me about His provision for my life, and with it I gained the rest in knowing He would provide. Now I am in need of that provision again.
I have stared at this screen for what seems like hours. I have prayed about what to do, for what seems like months. And I am still lost as to what to say. Upon getting accepted to this journey with the World Race, I needed to not only raise my support in order to go, but I also needed to raise extra money in order to cover bills for the year I would be gone. I tell you with a very joyous heart that through God’s amazingness and His love, and people’s giving hearts, that I am fully funded to cover the costs of my trip!! God has provided!!
However, it is with a very open and vulnerable heart that I tell you I am in need of $6000 dollars to cover bills (student loans and a car payment) that I have back home. That’s a lot of money, and I know He can provide, and I know He will, because he has already promised to do so, and the victory is already His. However, he has now called me to step outside my comfort zone once more, and lay my heart out before you. It goes against everything in me to ask people for help and for more specifically ask for money. But in this case that is what I am called to do. I am in need of $6000 in order to cover my expenses back home in the states for the next year. My prayer is that you consider praying along with me about how to raise this money, or to even partner along with me financially.
I have been learning a lot over the last few months and God continues to reveal to me how BIG he is. In Ephesians 3:20, he is called the “God of the immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine.” And this month I am watching that lived out in my life. This has been one of the greatest months ever lived, and our God is so huge, and we are all so blessed.
I want to tell you all from the depths of my heart how thankful I am for everything you all have done for me. Your encouragement, your prayers, and your support have overwhelmed my heart, and that is being poured out onto others’ lives. I could not be more excited about what all God is doing. So thank you for taking part in this journey with me. You all are such a blessing in my lives and to the lives of everyone I meet, because you are on this journey with me. May His kingdom be brought to Earth, and spilled out onto all the nations.
