It is in every one of their beautiful faces. It is in every hug, and friendly smile. It is their words, their joy, and spills out from their passion. It is in every gorgeous sunset, every cool breeze, and in all the splendor of this nation.

It is Jesus. And I see Him in everyone one of these things. As I finish up month two of this journey, I am blown away. I could not be more blessed, or more excited about these past couple of months. The past month spent in Ecuador is one that will forever change me. It is here that I have been challenged. It is here that I know I can never go back to the same person I was before I left. With each new month, brings new changes, new outlooks on life, new perspective, and new memories.

We spent the month in El Carmen. A small town about two hours from the coast. We have been incredibly blessed this month.  We made so many connections. We made new friends. We gained new family members. We gained love. We shared love.

Everyday looked different for us. For the only thing that is consistent is frizzy hair and dirty feet. : ) We spent a lot of time with the people of the community. We visited and shared in lots of house churches. We painted a youth room. We prepared for VBS. We worked in a Rehab facility. We watched grown come to Jesus. We gave our testimonies in Spanish. We hiked into the Amazon Jungle in knee deep mud for a week.

We learned to live in community. We gained a new member to our team. I believe all of us found a home in Ecuador. All of us grew personally. We grew as a team. I learned so much from Pastor Elmer, and how to pour out passion with such tenderness.

This month was a month of challenge. A month of change. A month that I will never forget.
