He had trash bags for shoes strings.

She had a warm hug, and a big smile.

He shared his lollie pop with me.

We danced in the hot sun,

And ran barefoot through the mud.

I made up Spanish words. They died with laughter.

They fought for the chance to sit in my lap,

And they saved me a seat every day.

They have beautiful faces, sunshine beams from their eyes. I laughed more in the few hours spent with them this week, then I have in the past two months. . They gave me sweet hugs and kisses on the cheeks, reminding me of my little preschoolers back home. I could run for hours in the dirt field with them. They are so unconditional in their love. So full of joy, so happy and carefree.

There is something to be said about the love from a child.

This week we spent time out in a field in Ecuador, helping the church put on a VBS for the kids in the community. We didn’t have to teach any lessons, or help do any crafts or games. All we had to do was be present.  To share in laughter, to soak in joy, and my heart is so full.
