Our team is going to
make it through the entire year without truly changing. Except that this is a
new season. We are going into our final three months–only 70 days left until my
feet will be on American soil once more. How this year has flown.
And so as we head
into this season of closings and openings, I’m pumped to bring you all into the
journey I am walking in right now. When we began this race, I was reading a book
called Supernatural Ways of Royalty
by Bill Johnson. This book rocked the way I view the Kingdom on earth–the way I
want to be a part of bringing His Kingdom to earth, the way I want to lay
myself down to be in His will, even when it looks crazy to the world. The night
my team arrived in Dominican Republic, we sat down and I casted my first vision
as their leader upon us. The vision was that the greatest honor as their leader
would be to raise up greater leaders than myself; that my ceiling of leading would
become their floor. It’s something we have come back to several times as this
year has gone. In these past two months, the Lord has been transforming the
women on my team into His image in incredible ways; they are walking in new
anointings, in new gifts, in new challenges. One of these women has the Lord’s
hand upon her to do some incredible things in the 10-40 window. She is our
oldest team member and she is from Malaysia. This woman is unrecognizable to
who she was when we met a year ago at training camp. She has childlike faith
tempered with wisdom and spiritual maturity; she is hungry to see God move in
power throughout the world, and she is desperate to see His Kingdom come to
unreached people groups throughout the 10-40 window. In these past few months,
we have had some incredible
conversations about God’s glory, about His goodness, and about His
infiniteness.

I am so humbled and
proud to say that as I enter into a season of restoration and new personal
revelation of God’s will for my life, Pei Yee has stepped into leadership of
our team. We have already stepped into new challenges and new vision as the
Lord lifts this woman of power to lead us to the finish line down the road.
Please be praying for our team as we finish up Africa these next two weeks,
head to a closed nation next month on our own, and finish up strong where my
walk with the Lord began two and a half years ago in Cambodia.
Just for some updates
on how this month in Tanzania has looked for us:

-Last Friday we went
and visited a Masai tribe in the bush, and it was incredible. The land looked exactly how I imagined all of Africa
was going to be. The people looked like the tribal people I had grown up
reading about in National Geographic.
Yes, I know it’s a stereotype, but today I got to meet them and to know them
and to WORSHIP the Lord with them. We were blessed to get to join and lead them
in prayer and worship and teaching under a giant African tree on the African
plains. We got to preach in their church and hold their beautiful children. And. They gave us a sheep to show THEIR
gratitude, although I believe we were the ones more blessed to spend the day
with them.

Last
Thursday we got to go to a home for the mentally handicapped children of
Tanzania. It turns out to be a stone’s throw away from where we are living.
This was just another day of the Lord rocking
me with His love and the people who have been given the heart of the Father. I
made friends with a few young boys, Marios and Joshua, who led me around the
property. We played on the swings, on a slide, they became masters at using my
camera and catching only the most beautiful pictures of me, and we laughed as
one of the boys tried several times to convince me he was President Obama. Our
team got to see how the children are taught life skills and incredible crafts
to sell in order to be self-sustaining adults. Truly this place was a gem I
never expected to find in the third world. But gracious, it touched my heart
and left me in perpetual praise for the goodness of the Lord.

As for post-race
life, the Lord has spoken quite loudly in the past few weeks into something
that I had been fighting for nearly a year. As I continue to pursue His voice
in this, please be praying that He will continue to unfold the dream He is authoring
in my life. I am so excited and cannot wait to reveal this to each of you as it
becomes a reality. Sneak peak: I’ll be leaving my sunny-and-75 California and
relocating to a land where the leaves change and vegetarian food is laughable
at best. Yikes!
