2 Timothy 1:7 How often as Christians do we take the defensive position when talking about God, when talking about His miracles, His healing, His goodness?
I’ve caught myself doing it plenty of times. I know most Christians have found them self in that boat too.
But WHY?
OF WHAT ARE WE AFRAID?
Are we afraid of offending someone?
We KNOW TRUTH. ABSOLUTE TRUTH.
Are we afraid of losing someone we love if we share that truth?
We already have His PERFECT LOVE pouring over each of us every SINGLE SECOND.
Are we scared that our God may not show up to move mountains when we share the Gospel?
We have the SPIRIT OF GOD living inside of us! The POWER that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, the same power that casts out demons and heals the sick LIVES IN US. He wants us to pray big! He wants to show off! He wants HIS glory put on FULL display!
What other fear is there?
Fear of death? Fear someone would harm us for speaking His love and His truth?
BRING IT. HEAVEN IS NOT A THREAT. HEAVEN IS NOT A CONSOLATION PRIZE.
As Christians I think we often forget that the victory is ALREADY OURS. We are no longer on the defensive! Jesus conquered the grave.
We are called to walk in boldness.
We are called to walk in His power.
We are called to walk in His love.
