Lord, I concede that no photograph taken of my visage during these next 11 months will ever be sweat-free, oil-free, or ugly-free.
Lord, I concede that I will never stop itching from mosquito welts, even well after my spirit has left this world.  The mosquitoes will eat at me in the grave.
Lord, I concede that without 4 cups of coffee a day, I would be bedridden.
Lord, I concede that my laundry will always take four days to dry in the humid air.
Lord, I concede that after meals, the dishes will never be clean because we wash them with the grease that they’re covered in.
Lord, I concede that the life I left and the life I continue to live is a life abundant with privilege.
Lord, I concede that I am responsible for the mess of this world.
Lord, I concede that independence is not an option.
Lord, I concede that you have plans to prosper your children.
Lord, I concede that even in darkness you are manifest beauty.
Lord, I concede that I have no idea what I’m doing.
Lord, I concede that You know.
