Dear Friends and Family:
I hope this letter finds you well, I am writing to you share with you an amazing opportunity the Lord has placed in my life. This past year has been a challenging and rewarding one for me. God has been shaping me and molding into a true follower of Christ through the trials He’s placed in my life. Last summer, the Lord really began pulling on my heart to go into world missions. I think I am beginning to understand what Jesus meant in Matthew 28:19 when he said “go and make disciples of all the nations”.
Recently, God has provided a wonderful opportunity to serve as a missionary with an organization called Adventures in Missions (AIM) through their World Race program. The World Race is an 11-month mission trip where my team and I will serve people from 11 different countries around the world. We will partner with missionaries and local churches in each community to work in orphanages, build churches, share the Gospel to the lost, hold Bible camps, minister to women and children trapped by human trafficking, and ultimately, sharing the Hope found in Christ’s Love to many tribes and nations.
I am thrilled to be chosen to be a part of this organization because they truly have a heart and vision to reach the lost in the world. I believe that our World Race Team, which will be leaving in September of this year, has an amazing opportunity to reach the corners of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With the different types of ministry involved in this trip, I also trust that God will open my eyes to my specific gifts and my calling in ministry. I trust that this trip is part of a much greater calling for my life’s work and that He is putting a plan together for me to carry out after I come back home. This trip will give me clarity and experience that I will need for a life of full-time ministry if that is where the Lord is calling me.
I know that God will provide everything I need and my prayer is that He will do that through you! I am writing you to ask if you would consider praying about being on my support team, both prayerfully and financially, as I begin this journey. I need to raise $25,000 in order to go on the World Race for a full year. This will cover which all my expenses for the 11 months I am on the field, my travel expenses, supplies, and personal expenses. My goal is to be at 65% by September 1, 2012. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation at the amount of your choosing. If only 100 people would pledge $20 a month for one year, I would have almost all of my funds raised!
I am asking you to carefully pray and ask the Lord if he is calling you to support me in this huge leap of faith. Your support and your prayers are absolutely invaluable to me and will be carried with me no matter where I am in the world. If God is leading you to pledge monthly, I encourage you to soon as possible to help cover any initial costs. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions and address your donation to Adventures In Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470. If you would prefer to make your donation online, you may do so by visiting my blog site at: tiffanycarty.theworldrace.org. Just click the “Support Me” link in the upper left side of the page and complete your donation as instructed.
I am really excited to see how God will work in my life and the lives around me over the next year. I pray that I am not only a blessing to those I will be serving, but also to you! I would be truly blessed to go as your representative in Christ to share His message of Salvation to people across the world. I would like to keep you updated with what I am doing through email newsletters, my blog, or through regular mail. Please let me know which you would prefer. Thank you in advance for your support through prayers and finances. May God bless you in your prayerful consideration of this opportunity.
Joyfully,
Tiffany Carty
Look at the nations and watch–and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told. Habakkuk 1:5
