This isn’t the end. I am so extremely happy that Papa doesn’t use us for a short period and then drops us, but instead He is constantly pursuing and pushing us to new and bigger things even though The race is ending, and we’re heading home in just a couple days. My soul is buzzing with the excitement of being back with my family and friends, and for what Abba has next. I am so thankful what I learned this year, good and bad. I thought I would share some bullet points with you guys:

  • We cannot do anything without the Lord behind it, we are so flesh.
  • Stepping out of a spotlight for myself and standing behind the Lord allowing Him to work, I really struggle with this y’all. Papa deserves all the glory!!
  • The Lord really sat me down, and showed me how big and powerful He is. ALWAYS.
  • How insignificant our daily lives and plans are compared to His plans.
  • We are so small, He doesn’t even need us, but He chooses us.
  • When Abba talks, it’s loud, but we need to stop talking long enough to hear it.
  • Fear, and pride are liars.
  • Don’t rebuild things that Papa has already torn down.
  • Even if we fail at that, and we will, He is ready to catch you in arms of grace.
  • Jesus is a gentleman, He doesn’t rush, He’s gentle and attentive.
  • God has a sense of humor. In the words of Bob Goff, “Hey, maybe God doesn’t take life so seriously. He might just want me to enjoy life with Him.”
  • Todd White’s Podcast go off. “The cross isn’t a revelation of your sin, its the revelation of your value.”
  • I have been fought for and won.
  • “He didn’t create you for you. He created you for Him.” -Todd White
  • The Lord is in everything. Seek and you will find.
  • Invite Jesus into everything and everywhere. There is no place safer.
  • Ask Jesus to show beauty in the worst situations. He always shows up.

Here are just some random little tips for life on the field or just life in general:

  • Squat all the way down in a squatty.
  • Carry toilet paper with you.
  • Hold every random little hand you can.
  • Make silly faces at babies, even if the moms look at you weird.
  • Talk to strangers.
  • Eat sketchy looking food. (its usually the best.)
  • Wear what makes you happy.
  • Be nice. Just try.
  • Listen to music, and dance.
  • Don’t be embarrassed of your laugh.
  • Be honest when necessary.
  • Stand up and be loud about your passions.
  • Always keep an extra pair of pants in your bag.
  • Take out your bathroom trash.
  • Be careful with facial expressions.
  • Just because you think your uber driver only speaks Spanish, doesn’t mean he does.
  • Try to learn words in different languages.
  • Smile at everyone that makes eye contact with you.
  • If people wave at you wave back.

I hope these helped you reflect, and see how God moved this past year in your life. I want to take some time and say thank you to some very important people.

 To my team and Cass,

I adore you all. I know you know that, thank you for showing me what true love is, and constantly listening to me talk about Jon Bellion, Texas and Taco Cabana. I really can’t wait for you guys to come down to the great country, and try a taco bowl for yourself. Seriously, thank you. I wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere or with anyone else these past nine months. You are a gift.

 Mom and Dad,

Thanks for rooting for me thousands of miles away, and being so willing to honor the Lord’s calling on my life. I am blessed to have you two as my parent, and thank you for dealing with the lost years, and cheering me on as I was found. I love you both more than you know. I plan on showing that better when I come home.

Abba,

Thank you for a year full of you. Your joy, your love, your character. Thank you for growing seasons and thank you for the dry ones. I cannot comprehend how much you love me, but thank you for never not trying to show me. You are endlessly good, and I don’t deserve it, even still thank you for choosing me to be your vessel this year. Forgive me for not always stepping into your plans, and remind me daily of your people and the plan you have for them. Thank you for seven sisters who chose me well this year, and pushed me seek you. Papa, how sweet to know that this isn’t the end, you have so much more for us. Please keep Q squad safe as we head into the next season of life, and keep us deeply rooted in you.

I want to ask you to pray for My squad and I as we return home. Pray for safety, and peace as we come home to you. Thank you for all of your support over the past nine months. I can’t wait to see you so soon!! I would also love to hear what God taught you this year!! If you feel led email me or leave a comment about what Abba is doing in your life.

love,
