Hey from Thailand, where the smog hits over 300% and the noodles always hit the spot in your heart. I adore Asia and the little moments I get to experience the Father is such bigs ways. Since we can’t always openly speak about Jesus, He pops up in little ways that make my soul spin with Joy. Something I have been doing lately is writing down little quotes that I find or bring me so much encouragement after a hot smoggy day. I hope you like them and they encourage you as well:
“This is the season she will make beautiful things. Not perfect things but honest things that speak to who she is and who she is called to me.” – Morgan Harper Nichols. Y’all I want that to be the quote that describes my race.
“Everything comes to you at the right time.. BE PATIENT.” This one hits home. I am learning what it means to be expectant on the Lord, but not impatient with His plans. This becomes a struggle when all of your teammates are heading to college and finding roomates and your new roomates for this next year are your Mom and Dad. Lol love you guys, youre the realest.
“BE HERE NOW” I am going to be honest when I say I am ready to be back with my family and friends back home. So for a good week I repeated this in my head until it finally clicked. I am supposed to be right here in Thailand with my team, working in a book store. The Lord also began to open my eyes to how extremely hard it is going to say goodbye to my sisters so I just dont even complain anymore. “Where ever you are be all there.” – Jim Elliot
“He didn’t create you for you, He created you for Him.” – Todd White. This is not my life. I need to be so much more aware of what Papa is asking of me and for His people. Learning to break selfish habits are so hard, but nothing is impossible for Abba.
“You wanting a sign is a sign.” Ouch.
“How beautiful it is that the past did not define you, and your story is being woven into something beautiful and new.” – Morgan Harper Nichols. We are a new creation and are made new everyday when give everything over to Abba. This is such a hard thing to grasp when we live in a world where everything is held against us, but there is freedom in the name of Jesus.
“Dance w/ Jesus.” Accept the freedom He gives and just do life with Him. This is the most important thing I have learned and I am still learning. Take His hand and let him lead you.
