God is everywhere. He’s in the music we listen to even when its not christian music!! Lately I have been asking the Lord to reveal Himself in my music. So for this blog I decided to make you guys a “playlist” with songs that I hear the Lords voice in.

  1. Stupid Deep by Jon Bellion, this song came out while we were in Costa Rica. Mr. Bellion is one my favorite artist. This song talks about all the love we’ve tried to earn in the past has always been right here. When I listen to this song I literally see the Father sitting next to the hole in hearts patiently waiting for us to get it.
  2. New Start by Weary Friend, very different from stupid deep in the way of sound. This song describes the journey of graduating to now. So whats that journey? As a line from the song says. “If I’m being completely honest, I can’t see a thing.” The whole song talks about about how its ok to not know where you’re going but to trust the Father even in the hardest parts
  3. Green Trees by Solomon Frank. “I’ll travel the world and the great unknown just to learn what I already know.” I am in South Africa being reminded daily of the Lord’s power and control.
  4. Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd this one is up to you to decide. Just the guitar alone is powerful.
  5. I’ll Never leave you by Braison Cyrus, this is about leaving home, but never truly loosing who you are or forgetting who you are. I relate this one to my race as well and when I listen to this song I see me and the Lord in my car driving away from home. Together forever.
  6. Pulaski by Andrew Bird, this one has nothing to do with the words, again the music feels like driving d in the back of a tiny pickup truck crammed in with 7 of your closest sisters in Christ feeling the power of the Fathers spirit as the wind blows your hair around.
  7. My God has a Telephone by The Flying Stars Of Brooklyn NY. Just a fun reminder that the Lord will remind you that you can do anything with Him.
  8. Into the Ocean by Blue October, we can’t do it on our own.
  9. Roll away your stone By Mumford and Sons just listen!!
  10. Sticks & Stones by Dresses

Sorry this blog was short, but I hope you’ll listen to these songs, if you do ask the Lord to open your ears and hearts to what He’s trying to say. I want to say if you choose to listen to these songs some of the artist can be explicit if you choose to listen to more by them.

Next week I should have my ministry assignment, and I will update you guys with that!! Mom and Dad come in 33 days! My heart is so excited to see them and how the Lord has been moving with them!! please email me and update me about what’s going on with you!
