1. Scharma is the best food we ate. Think pita filled with french fries, meat, veggies, pink sauce, hot sauce, some white sauce, other stuff. Delicious!
2. Pray is one of the most effective ministries there is; however, it is exhausting. So much more exhausting than you would ever believe.
3. I do not exercise in the cold. It is miserable and I refuse to participate.
4. I love gypsies! I really love gypsies! They are kind, loving, open people who are restricted by how the world sees them.
5. I got to pray a blessing over a 3 week old girl this month and it is one of my favorite memories so far on this trip.
6. Pictures speak to the soul. They connect people without words and create peace and love when there is nothing else.
7. When you buy a guitar, practice. It is embarrassing when someone asks you to play and you have to admit that the only song you've mastered is Waves of Mercy and your team already hates that song because its all they've heard for months.
8. Make the most of every day. Don't underestimate what you are doing and the impact that you might have.
9. Take advantage of the people around you. They are there to hold you and push you forward. God uses them to mold you into the person that he would have you be.
10. Physical touch is important. It brings people together in a completely raw and natural way. It creates intimacy among people who have none. So go give someone a hug.
11. Sometimes you have to work to love others. Not just people you don't like. Sometimes you have to work in order to love your friends too. Go out of your way for them. I promise you won't regret it.
