“Of course, we need the closet cleaned.”
Closet cleaned???
I know that I don’t always have that much work to do in the Encounter department, but “clean the closet”.
There has got to be a more important job.
But.. I had asked if there was anything that I could do so I walk over to the closet to survey my task. To put it lightly, the closet is a mess.
It seems that the previously clean closet had a shelf break which led to mass chaos even after it had been repaired.
Now, it’s really not as bad as it seems mostly because I excel at and really enjoy organizing things.
A couple of hours later, not only does Encounter have a clean closet but I have learned a thing or two from God.
Not a new lesson, but, rather, a re-enforcement of an old one. Sometime, we have to do the menial tasks. In these times, we practice skills and characteristics that make for success in the bigger things.
The seemingly repetitive motion of completing smaller, easier tasks makes us more equipped for the difficult tasks that will come later on.
Don’t get dragged down by the boring tasks. They prepare you for the important ones.
